SENIOR CAPSTONE PROJECT –PROPOSAL

Dear Capstone Administrator,

My interest is in law enforcement, I am not sure if it is what I want to do; but i'm here to learn that. This topic interests me because I have always liked serving others before me and taking care of people, and that is what the police do. I would want to study the patrol section of it because they are the face, the interact with the people more.

I haven’t had much experience with law enforcement in the past; none of my relatives are officers. I’ve been calling my capstone project,”My Police Future” it’s simple and gets to the point. I would study the patrol section of it because they are the face of the police, they interact with the people more. I honestly haven’t done much research into what this project will take. It won’t cost anything, and law enforcement agencies are typically more than welcoming to people, especially teenagers, taking a look and exploring law enforcement.

My proposed idea will be difficult for me because I’m not the most sociable person and I’m not good with some people. Because of that I will be stretching outside my comfort zone and expanding it. I am not familiar with much of the process of becoming an officer and being an officer, I am hoping this will enlighten me.

I want to eventually become an Officer or an EMT. This project will help me see if that route is right for me and what it entails.
